What the simulated environment is

Orders use real CME prices, but they don't go to the market. Learn what the balance is and what the profit split is.

EXL accounts are simulated. Your orders are filled at real CME prices, but they don't go to the market. The result is calculated as if they did, with each order's commission already included.

The account balance

The balance is a reference figure used to measure your performance. It is not deposited money, it is not the price you paid and it is not an amount you can withdraw.

What you receive

What you receive is the profit split: a percentage of the validated simulated profit, paid on each approved payout. Each plan's percentage is in the tier's article.

Why simulated

With real market data, the simulated environment evaluates you under the same conditions as someone trading for real, without anyone risking their own capital. You only pay for the plan, and your risk of loss is limited to that amount.

What the service is not

  • It is not an investment or a financial product.
  • EXL is not a broker and does not hold your money.
  • It is not advice or an investment recommendation.
  • There is no guarantee of passing, of a profit split or of income.

Platform and market data

In EXL Funding, the platform and market data for the evaluation and the funded account are included in the plan. On a live account, if you are invited, these costs become yours, as set out in the live account contract.

Which figure counts

The dashboard shows your figures for reference, with the time of the last update. The official figure is always the platform's.
