EXL Trade

What's allowed and what's not

What you can do on your account, what is prohibited and why these rules exist.

You trade your way. The conduct rules exist so that your results are your own, earned in real market conditions, and not from a glitch, another person or a loophole.

Allowed

  • Using your own bot or automation.
  • Trading the news.
  • Hedging within the same account.
  • Copying your trades between your own accounts, in the same direction.

Not allowed

  • High-frequency trading (HFT).
  • Exploiting data delays (latency arbitrage), platform bugs or off-market prices.
  • Copying trades from or to another person, including in the opposite direction.
  • Hedging between accounts, in the same or correlated instruments.
  • Letting someone else trade your account, selling your account, or using another person's account, details or payment method.
  • Hiding your country of residence.
  • Disputing a payment without grounds (wrongful chargeback).

Bots and automation

Your automation must be your own. The same automation used by different people may lead to a precautionary block of the accounts involved, for review.

Very short trades

They are not prohibited, but they affect EXL Funding payouts: profit from trades of 10 seconds or less does not count towards the payout when it is more than 50% of the cycle's profit.

If a rule is broken

Penalties are applied step by step, based on severity and repetition: voiding the period's profit, closing the account, or closing all accounts and blocking the registration. Before the final decision, you have 5 business days to respond.

Example

You have two accounts and your own bot opens the same buy on both: allowed. If the bot buys on one account and sells on the other, that is hedging between accounts: not allowed.
