Why it exists

The firm exists for people who are trading. An idle account shows nothing about your method, and this rule keeps accounts with traders who are actually in the market.

What counts as a traded day

  • A session with at least one trade closed by you.
  • Automatic settlement at a contract's expiry counts in the result but not as a traded day.
  • Each traded day restarts the count.

What happens

Once closed, the account loses its balance and payout

After 30 calendar days without trading, the account is closed. It loses its balance and the right to payouts, including from a payout cycle you already completed. This applies to the funded account and to Direct. Inactivity does not give rise to a refund.

Example

You traded for the last time on some day. On the 23rd and 28th day without trading, you get a warning by e-mail. If you reach 30 calendar days without trading, the account is closed. Just close one trade before then and the count restarts.

EXL Career does not have an inactivity rule.
