Ranking and prizes

The EXL Trading League ranking orders participants by percentage return on the account's starting balance. What counts is performance, not account size.

The criterion

• Return: the net result of the trades opened and closed within the edition's hours, after the simulated trading costs, divided by the account's starting balance.
• The result in dollars is shown alongside, for information.
• A position still open at the end of the edition, or closed after it, doesn't count.

To win a prize

• Make the minimum number of closed trades set in the rules.
• Finish with a positive result.

Tie-break

• The participant with the smallest maximum drawdown, that is, the smallest balance drop during the competition, ranks ahead.
• If the tie remains, the participant who reached the final result first, by the time of the last closed trade, ranks ahead.
• Prize accounts are not split: each prize-winning place receives a whole account.

Live ranking and final results

The live ranking is a preview. The official result is the final tally, published on the edition page once the trading data is complete. Until then, the edition shows as being tallied. The public ranking only shows the first name and last-name initial, the placing and the result.

How you receive the prize

   Results published

   The prize is delivered to your EXL registration, and you receive an e-mail with the next steps.

2. 2

   Accept the prize account

   You accept the account in your registration, within the deadline in the rules. After the deadline, the prize expires.

3. 3

   Trade

   The prize account is the same as a purchased account of the same product, with the same rules.

• The prize counts towards your account limit. If you are at the limit, it stays saved in your registration during the acceptance period, so you can free up room.
• The prize is personal and non-transferable, can't be turned into cash and can't be swapped for another product.

EXL Ranking

• Free and automatic for customers with an active EXL account, evaluation or funded.
• Weekly and monthly cycles, with the same return criterion, the same requirements to win a prize and the same tie-break.
• Each trader appears once, with their best account in the cycle. Paid tournament accounts don't take part.
• The winners of each cycle receive an EXL account, announced on the cycle page. To receive it, you accept the rules.
• The EXL Ranking doesn't change anything in your account: it doesn't block it, close it or change targets, limits or payouts.
