Which currency do I pay in?
Prices are in US dollars. See how Funding and Career are charged in Brazil and elsewhere, and where the PTAX rate comes in.
All EXL prices are set in US dollars (US$). What changes is the currency you are charged in, which follows the country of residence in your registration, not the website language.
EXL Funding
- In Brazil, you pay in reais. The dollar price is converted at the PTAX rate, and the final amount in reais is shown before you pay, by Pix, boleto or card.
- Outside Brazil, you pay in US dollars, by card.
EXL Career
- In Brazil, the subscription is charged in reais, by card. The conversion uses the PTAX rate of the purchase date, and the amount in reais stays fixed on renewals.
- Outside Brazil, the subscription is charged in US dollars, by card.
What PTAX is
PTAX is the official exchange rate published by the Central Bank of Brazil. At checkout, the charge line shows the amount in reais, the amount in dollars, the rate used and the PTAX date. The quote is valid for a limited time, shown on screen; if it expires, just refresh to see the current amount.
The currency follows your registration
Payment and payout methods depend on the country of residence in your registration. Moved to another country? Update your registration before you buy. Hiding your country of residence is prohibited by the Terms.
