Max Loss Limit (MLL) and EOD drawdown
How much the account can lose in total, how the floor rises with the end-of-day close and the funded account lock.
Your plan's values
The Max Loss Limit (MLL) is how much the account can lose in total. It sets a balance floor: on the US$ 50,000 account, the floor starts at US$ 48,000.
- Max Loss Limit
- US$ 2,000
- Starting floor
- US$ 48,000
- Drawdown type
- EOD
- end of day
- Lock in the funded account
- US$ 50,100
- starting balance + US$ 100
Why it exists
It's the rule that protects capital. Respecting the max loss shows you can get through the bad days, and that is what keeps a trader in the market for years.
How the floor moves
- EOD means end of day: at the close of each session, if the balance closed at its highest value so far, the floor rises with it.
- The floor never goes down. A losing day does not give back the room you already had.
- The floor is updated at the end of the day, but touching it during the session already counts.
The floor follows the highest closing balance and never goes down.
Example
On the 50K: the floor starts at US$ 48,000. You close a session at US$ 51,000? The floor rises to US$ 49,000 and stays there until a new record close.
The funded account lock
In the funded account, the floor rises the same way, but it stops rising once it reaches US$ 50,100. From then on, it stays fixed: once you've built up some room, the limit doesn't keep chasing your profit.
The floor follows the highest closing balance and never goes down.
If the account hits the limit
What happens
In the evaluation, the account fails (in Flex and Pro, you can request a reset). In the funded account, the account is closed, with no reset.
What about EXL Career?
In EXL Career, the limit is Static: the floor stays fixed from day one and does not rise with profit.
